When I download and unpack the zip the file is a folder rather than a unity package, maybe the package is in the folder and I missed it? I didn't think so but maybe I missed it, hope this clarifies the problem better.
It appears to have some conflicts with the base Tile System in the latest Unity version. Should we still install the Unity Tile system when using this package?
Hi there. By any chance is your project on Github or some other place that I could take a look? It looks like you have SuperTiled2Unity (or parts of it) installed twice.

ST2U should work for macOS. If it doesn't then give me some details and I'll figure it out.

Maybe I understand the issue. ST2U is not a `*.unitypackage` file that you import into your Assets dir but instead a Unity Package.
Once you unzip then you move that whole directory into your Packages folder (right beside Assets).

it was a private project for my studies, I can definitely look into that, I will create a new project and do a clean install
